These are the next pages in my sketchbook. Took a drawing safari in the garden. The colour was added back in the house.
Enjoying the sketching, the colour needs a bit of work.

I am a great fan of The Big Bang Theory and decided to paint Dr Sheldon Cooper on the iPad. This could be the first in a series of the characters in the show. This was painted in the Artrage app and with the Sensu Solo brush.

This is a quick self portrait from a reference photo taken at our Granddaughter’s 1st birthday party last week.
I currently have the photo as my twitter and Facebook profile image.
As ever. Painted in the Artrage app and with the Sensu brush.

Yesterday we took ourselves off to grange over Sands on the southern edge of the Lake District. We love it there because there is not a lot to do. One thing however is to sit by the lake and watch the birds. As we were sitting there, two geese wandered past us and as they did I managed to snap a photo of them.
The painting here was done on the iPad using the Artrage app. I was looking for very dark shadows here to give a feeling of how sunny it was.
A very enjoyable painting t do.

We are regular visitors to a particular cafe I the Ribble Valley oop north. Quite often there is a chap in there and he looks just like the Scottish actor Alistair Sim. Looked him up today when we saw him and found a wonderful reference photo from which to draw this iPad portrait of him.
Like these black and white paintings as it really makes you think about the contrast.

Painted as ever in the Artrage app.

It was great to get back to art class last night. It has been 4 months since I picked up a pencil or a paintbrush. I decided that I would try my hand at sketching again. The resulting picture is seen here.
I really enjoyed this drawing and it took a little while to produce. I used graphite sticks for this and they are becoming my drawing weapon of choice.

Saw this loco parked p at Preston Station today. I have actually painted this loco before in watercolour but fancied a go on the iPad. It has had a change of livery since my last attempt, but this time I thought I would capture the cab area.

Painted in the Artrage app.

It has been a long time since I picked up a paintbrush. Actually it was back in May. I have been using an iPad stylus since then and concentrating on my tablet art. It was nice to get back to class though and actually mix some paint and water.

This sunflower was placed on the table in class ready for the next group to draw. It just seemed like a great subject to try and paint.

The third iPad painting in my sheep series. This is the magnificent and probably my favourite breed, the Blue Faced Leicester. I like the very noble head on these sheep.
This was painted in Artrage and again I was trying to go for a watercolour effect.
